Check and indeed here is a novelty launched by the group MTV. Mtv Overdrive is a new way of conceiving the video clips with streaming. It is not really one Web tv, because it is you who select the columns which you wish to see, it is you who create your chaine of TV as you understand it with the implementation of your playlist.
Clips are diffused streaming via Windows media player ( last compulsory grinding) there. The quality belongs to 300kb/sec and doubtless more.
The concept is not too bad.
We regret obviously:
- the max of advertisement
- the obligation of validate permanently the Microsoft licenses of the media player
- the uncompatibility with navigators emergent as firefox
- the obligation to install the module flash of Macromedia
- vaguenesses already noticed on yahoo music when there is a lot of movement in the video. Thank you to the Microsoft encoding
- contained still weak
We like :
- it is free!!!
- the columns original (Top 10 of the week, trailer, interview of artists)
- contrary to the music downloading, not to oblige to register(record)
- fluid video no slowing down to be regretted
- The composition of its playlist and the reading continues it or in the choice in the style of the chapters of a DVD
